At FrostAway (frostaway.org) we take care of your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with and what rights you have.

What data we collect

  • Contact and shipping details: name, email, phone number and addresses.
  • Order details: products, amounts, returns and the messages you send us.
  • Payment details: processed by the payment provider. We never see your full card number.
  • Browsing data: IP address, device, browser, pages visited and cookies.

Without the data required to complete a purchase, we cannot process your order.

How we use it

  • To process your order, shipping, returns and support. For customers in the EU and UK, the legal basis is the performance of our contract with you.
  • To meet tax, accounting and consumer-law obligations (legal obligation).
  • To send you offers by email or SMS, only if you agree, or, if you are already a customer, about products similar to the ones you bought. You can unsubscribe from any message.
  • To prevent fraud and protect the store (legitimate interest).
  • To measure visits and personalize ads with cookies, only with your consent where the law requires it.

We do not make decisions with legal effects about you based solely on automated processing.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with those who need it to serve you:

  • Shopify, the platform that runs our store, which processes data on our behalf and, for some of its own purposes, under its own privacy policy.
  • Payment providers and banks.
  • Our supplier and order-management app (AutoDS) and the carrier, which receive your name, address and phone number to prepare and deliver your order. Our supplier ships from warehouses in the United States and China.
  • Email, analytics and advertising tools (such as Meta, Google or TikTok), only if you have agreed to it.
  • Advisors and public authorities, when the law requires it.

International transfers

We operate from the Dominican Republic and our providers are located in several countries, including the United States and China. If you are in the EU, UK or Canada, your data will be transferred outside your country. We rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses where available, and, for the supplier and carrier who deliver your order, on the fact that the transfer is necessary to fulfil your purchase.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for as long as we have a relationship with you and afterwards for the periods required by tax and consumer laws. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Cookie data is kept for the periods shown in the cookie banner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or transfer your data, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email us at alberthgonz57@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request" and we will reply within one month (45 days for California residents).

  • EU and UK: you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country (for example, the ICO in the UK or the AEPD in Spain).
  • United States: we do not sell your personal information. To opt out of the sharing of your data for targeted advertising, use our Your Privacy Choices page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
  • Canada: you can contact us about how we handle your personal information and, if you are not satisfied, contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Cookies

We use technical cookies that the store needs to work and, where the law requires it, only with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies, our own and from third parties. You can change your choice at any time in the cookie banner.

Children

Our store is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Our store uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), payments are processed in PCI DSS certified environments, and we apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
